Notice on Online Application for Health Declaration Certificate

Effective immediately, all China-bound passengers are kindly requested to apply Health Declaration Certificate online and obtain a green QR code with "HDC" mark, from the Chinese Embassies/Consulates both in departure and the last transit countries. The transit times are not limited. The detailed application procedures and requirements are as follows:

Step 1. First PCR test

Within 48 hours before the flight, the first nucleic acid test (PCR) should be done, with a negative result report acquired.

Step 2. Second PCR test

Within 24 hours before the flight, the second nucleic acid test (PCR) should be done, with a negative result report acquired. Please note that the date of the first PCR sample collection is the date required in the application program.

Step 3. Application

All passengers are required to log in to the application program by visiting https://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5/ or scanning the following QR code, and upload materials to the program.

Required materials:

(1) both negative nucleic acid test reports aforementioned,

(2) certification of vaccination,

(3) passport info page,

(4) proof of residence in The Gambia, Chinese Visa or residence permit, 

(5) itineraries.

For those who have been diagnosed or tested positive of COVID-19,two consecutive negative nucleic acid tests (with an interval of more than 24 hours ) can confirm recovery. After 14 days of recovery, persons with a history of infection can apply for the QR code according to the requirements of ordinary personnel.


For those who are close contacts, please follow steps below for application of HDC:

Step 1. Self-isolation

Passengers are kindly requested to practice a 5-day self-isolation and fill out the Personal Health Monitoring Form on a daily basis. Should there be any signs of fever or cough, passengers need to do PCR test to decide whether continue the isolation or cancel the traveling plan until cured. 

Step 2. PCR tests

After the 5-day self-isolation without signs of illness, passengers could follow the same application steps as above.

Step 3. Application

Please kindly log in to the application program and upload materials  including the filled Personal Health Monitoring Form, both negative nucleic acid test reports, certification of vaccination, passport info page, proof of residence in The Gambia, Chinese Visa or residence permit, itineraries.

After the Chinese Embassy in The Gambia examining and approving the application, the passenger will receive an electronic Health Declaration Certificate via the online system, which is a green QR code marked with "HDC". Passengers must present the solid code with the "HDC" mark to the airlines, in both departure and transfer city prior to boarding.
