Effective immediately, all China-bound passengers are kindly requested to apply Health Declaration Certificate online and obtain a green QR code with "HDC" mark from the Chinese Embassies/Consulates.

The detailed application requirements and procedures are as follows:

1.Testing requirements

There is no direct flight from The Gambia to China. Passengers can choose origin or transit country to take one nucleic acid testing and apply for a health code. The time limit is required to be within 48 hours before boarding the flight to China.

(1) Selecting origin country for nucleic acid testing

Passengers who apply for a health code in The Gambia should ensure that the health code is still valid when boarding the plane to China at the last transit country. The sampling time should be within 48 hours before boarding the direct flight to China. Please note the time difference between the origin and the transit country.

(2) Selecting transit country for nucleic acid testing

Passengers who apply for the health code at the transit country should take a nucleic acid test within 48 hours before boarding the flight to China, and can apply for the transit country’s health code after obtaining a negative test certificate. For example, if departing from Banjul and transiting from Paris to China, the sampling time in Paris should be within 48 hours before boarding the direct flight from Paris to China.

2. Health code application process

When choosing to apply for a health code in The Gambia, all passengers are required to log into the application program by visiting https://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5/ or scanning the following QR code, and upload materials as photos to the program. 

Required materials:

(1)  One negative nucleic acid test reports aforementioned

(2)  Passport information page

(3)  Itineraries

(4) Proof of residence in The Gambia, Chinese Visa or residence permit

Passengers are kindly requested to strictly abide by the above requirements. Please apply for the health code immediately after obtaining the nucleic acid negative certificate, in case there is an error in the submission of materials or lack of materials, the health code cannot be obtained and travel will be affected.
