China donates a batch of logistic equipment to Gambia Armed Forces

On December 30, H.E. Liu Jin, Chinese Ambassador to The Gambia handed over a batch of logistic equipment to Gambia Armed Forces. Before the handover ceremony, H.E. Ambassador Liu Jin met with Hon. Sering Modou Njie, Minister of Defense and Major General Mamat O. Cham, Deputy CDS. 

Ambassador Liu said that China and The Gambia are good friends and partners. Under the leadership of H.E. President Xi Jinping and H.E. President Adama Barrow, the two countries have developed healthy and steady bilateral relations, and cooperation in various fields has yielded fruitful outcomes. The world today is undergoing major changes unseen in a century. China and the Gambia are both developing countries and share the responsibility of safeguarding world peace and promoting common development. China is willing to deepen military exchanges and cooperation with The Gambia, support The Gambia to play an active role in maintaining regional peace and stability, and jointly promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. 

Minister Njie said that The Gambia and China have carried out mutually beneficial cooperation on the basis of mutual trust and respect, which has brought benefits to the people of both countries. The Gambia sincerely appreciates the help provided by China and hopes to further strengthen the military exchanges and cooperation between The Gambia and China, deepen political mutual trust and continue to enhance the friendship between the two countries and the two armies. The Gambia will make good use of the equipment, actively participate in UN peacekeeping operations and make contribution to international and regional peace and stability.
