On April 26, H.E. Ambassador Liu Jin met with Mr. Abdoulie Sey, the newly-apppointed GRTS Director General.

H.E. Ambassador Liu Jin congratulated Mr. Sey for assuming office, and said that cooperation in various fields has achieved fruitful outcomes in the past seven years since the resumption of diplomatic relations between China and The Gambia, among which exchanges in the field of journalism have played an important role in enhancing mutual trust and understanding between the two countries. He appreciated GRTS for enhancing friendship between China and The Gambia, and expressed willingness to explore more possibilities of cooperation.

Mr. Sey appreciated the assistance from the Chinese side to GRTS. He expressed willingness to further strengthen exchanges with the Chinese press circles and readiness in continuing to actively and objectively report about China, so as to create a friendly atmosphere for promoting cooperation between the two countries.
