On April 28, H.E. Ambassador Liu Jin met with Hon. Musa .S. Drammeh, Minister of Fisheries, Water Resources and National Assembly Matters of The Gambia.
    Ambassador Liu said that fisheries, as one of the six key sectors of bilateral cooperation between China and The Gambia, has been proved mutually beneficial and achieved fruitful results,   and also has played an important role in promoting economic cooperation and people exchange between the two countries. China appreciated the efforts made by the Ministry of Fisheries and Water Resources of The Gambia to improve the investment environment, and is willing to explore more possibilities for further strengthening fisheries cooperation.
    Minister Drammeh appreciated China’s support to the development of the Gambian fisheries industry. He expressed  welcome to Chinese enterprises to invest in The Gambia for further promoting the cooperation in the fisheries industry between the two countries. He also expressed the hope that China would give more support in the fields of capacity building  for the Gambian fisheries officials and aquaculture of the country.
