On June 20, H.E. Ambassador Liu Jin met with Hon. Fabakary Tombong Jatta, Speaker of the National Assembly of The Gambia.

H.E. Ambassador Liu introduced the formation of China-Gambia Friendly Group of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC). He said that exchanges and cooperation in various areas between the two countries are accelerating after the pandemic. He hopes that the legislative bodies of the two countries will strengthen exchanges and cooperation, enhance mutual understanding, and jointly promote the sustainable and healthy development of China-Gambia relations.

Hon. Speaker Fabakary Tombong Jatta thanked China for inviting the National Assembly Members to visit China, saying that the Gambia National Assembly actively supports the development of Gambia-China friendly relations and is willing to further strengthen exchanges between the two sides.
