On July 20, H.E. Ambassador Liu Jin hosted a reception for the Gambian government delegation returning from the Third China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo. The Honorable Minister of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment Joof of The Gambia and the Permanent Secretary Mr. Dampha attended the reception.

Ambassador Liu congratulated the Gambian side on the successful outcome of the visit, saying that China-Africa economic and trade cooperation is of larger scale, higher quality and wider fields, and the Gambian side should seize the opportunity. China attaches great importance to economic and trade exchanges with The Gambia, actively facilitates the export of Gambian products to China, and is willing to continue to work together to develop mutually beneficial and win-win economic and trade relations.

Joof spoke highly of his first trip to China, saying that he was deeply impressed by China's development achievements, infrastructure, event organization and experience in China, and hoped to lead a team to attend the CIIE which will be held in November in Shanghai, China to promote economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

The two sides had a friendly, full and pragmatic exchange of views on further promoting bilateral economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
