On 4 August, H.E. Ambassador Liu Jin met with Hon. Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs Seedy Keita and signed the Handover Certificate between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of The Gambia on the Project of Providing Security Equipment to Banjul International Airport of The Gambia.

The two sides agreed to deepen economic, trade and industrial and commercial cooperation, strengthen personnel training and exchanges, and promote development of friendly relations between the two countries.
