On September 22, H.E. Ambassador Liu Jin met with Hon. Minister of Petroleum and Energy Abdoulie Jobe and they signed the Minutes of the On-site Research of Feasibility Study of the Greater Banjul Area Electricity Improvement Project.

Ambassador Liu said that China will speed up the implementation of the project and help The Gambia upgrade its power infrastructure to better and faster benefit the Gambian people.

Minister Jobe thanked the Chinese government for its strong support and said that he would spare no effort to cooperate with the Chinese side and coordinate resources of all parties to ensure the early implementation of the project.
