On December 18, H.E. Ambassador Liu Jin met with Hon. Rohey John Manjang, Minister of Environment, Climate Change and Natural Resources. Both sides exchanged New Year greetings and looked forward to new progress in China-Gambia relations.

H.E. Ambassador Liu briefly introduced China's policies and actions to address climate change, saying that China and The Gambia are both developing countries and should closely coordinate their positions and strengthen exchanges and cooperation at the bilateral and multilateral levels. Hon. Minister Manjang said that The Gambia supports multilateralism and attaches importance to green development, appreciates China's efforts on COP28, and looks forward to exchanges and cooperation with China in the field of environment protection.
