On February 27, H.E. Ambassador Liu Jin met with Hon. Minister of Health Dr. Ahmadou Lamin Samateh and signed the AGREEMENT ON PAIRED HOSPITAL COOPERATION MECHANISM BETWEEN THE NATIONAL HEALTH COMMISSION OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA AND THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE GAMBIA.

H.E. Ambassador Liu said that medical and health is one of the priorities of cooperation between China and The Gambia, and this agreement is a new manifestation and expansion of the friendship between the Chinese and Gambian people and the medical and health cooperation between the two countries.

Hon. Dr. Samateh positively reviewed the achievements of medical and health cooperation between the two countries, and highly valued China's support to The Gambia, as well as the positive role of the paired hospital cooperation mechanism in upgrading Gambia's medical and health care level.
