On 3rd April, H.E. Ambassador Liu Jin met with the newly appointed Minister of Information Dr. Ismaila Ceesay.

Ambassador Liu congratulated Dr. Ceesay on his assumption of office, introduced the outcomes of China-Gambia cooperation in the fields of infrastructure, agriculture and people-to-people exchanges, and expressed his willingness to promote institutional media cooperation between two countries as the media plays an important role in promoting the development of bilateral relations and the people's understanding of each other. Ambassador Liu wished The Gambia a successful hosting of the 15th OIC Summit.

Dr. Ceesay thanked China for its assistance to The Gambia's development in various fields, especially in the preparation of the 15th OIC Summit. He expressed The Gambia's willingness to deepen cooperation with China in the fields of media, culture and so on, so as to further consolidate the Gambia-China friendship.
