On 5 April, H.E. Ambassador Liu Jin met with the newly appointed Minister of the Interior Abdoulie Sanyang, and congratulated him on his assumption of office. The two sides made a positive assessment of the relations between the two countries and exchanged views on continuing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the field of law enforcement. H.E Ambassador Liu also wished The Gambia success in hosting the 15th OIC Summit.
