On April 12, Chinese Embassy in The Gambia held an Eid al-Fitr reception. H.E. Ambassador Liu Jin attended the reception and delivered a speech. More than 100 guests including members of China-Gambia Alumni Students’ Association, TVET teachers and doctors who are about to go to China for training, attended the reception.

H.E. Ambassador Liu extended holiday greetings to Gambian friends from all walks of life and wished The Gambia a successful hosting of the OIC summit next month. He said that the next meeting of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation to be held this autumn will inject strong impetus into the development of China-Gambia and China-Africa friendly relations. China will work with The Gambia to strengthen cooperation on education and capacity building, promote people-to-people exchanges, and consolidate friendship between our two peoples.

The guests shared their wonderful experiences studying in China, thanked China for supporting The Gambia's economic and social development and the cultivation of local talents, and expressed their willingness to do their best to contribute to the China-Gambia friendship.
