On 17 April, H.E. Ambassador Liu Jin met with the newly appointed Minister of Tourism and Culture Hon. Abdoulie Jobe, and congratulated him on his assumption of office.

H.E. Ambassador Liu appreciated Hon. Minster Jobe's efforts to promote practical cooperation between China and The Gambia during his tenure as Minister of Petroleum and Energy, and said that the two countries could strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the fields of tourism, culture and art, so as to promote people-to-people exchanges and friendship.

Hon. Minister Jobe thanked China for its strong support for The Gambia's economic and social development, and said that The Gambia is looking forward to deepening tourism and cultural cooperation with China, so as to give new impetus to the development of relations between the two countries.
