On January 6, a new Agreement on Development Cooperation between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of The Gambia was signed by H.E. Ambassador Liu Jin and the Honorable Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Gambians Abroad, H.E Sering Modou Njie.

Both sides reviewed the lastest development of bilateral relations and the fruitful outcomes of practical cooperation, and looked forward to the positive outlook of China-Gambia relations. As 2026 is China-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges, and marks the 10th year of the resumption of diplomatic ties between China and The Gambia, the two sides will be guided by the important consensus of the two Heads of the States to strengthen the bilateral cooperation in various fields, so as to continue benefit the people of the two countries.
