On June 25, H.E. Ambassador Liu Jin attended the China-Gambia Political Parties Symposium hosted by the Chinese Embassy in The Gambia to celebrate the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Mr. Ceesay, Administrative Secretary-General of The Gambia’s ruling National People’s Party (NPP), Mr. Fatty, National Coordinator of the NPP Alliance, and more than 30 Gambian political party cadres who have attended governance seminar in China were present at the event.

H.E. Ambassador Liu shared the CPC’s experience in party building and state governance over the past 105 years, and elaborated on the Party’s governance philosophy centered on the people, advancing with the times, upholding solidarity and accountability, and embracing a global vision. He commended Gambian political parties for their commitment to national development and people’s wellbeing.

Gambian participants shared insights from their training visits to China. They spoke highly of the CPC’s century-long achievements and sound governance concepts, noting that these are highly consistent with The Gambia’s own development vision.

Both sides agreed to further deepen inter-party exchanges between China and The Gambia, jointly advance practical bilateral cooperation, and work together to write a new chapter of mutually beneficial win-win results and shared development for China and Africa.
