The second Youth in Business Awards Ceremony which is under the China Gambia Friendship Bantaba, was successfully held on October 16, organized by the Gambia Youth Chamber of Commerce (GYCC) with the exclusive support of the Chinese Embassy in The Gambia.

Hon. Ceesay, Minister of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment, delivered the opening remarks, congratulating GYCC on its achievements and expressing appreciation for China’s continued support for youth development in The Gambia. He reaffirmed the Gambian Government’s commitment to supporting micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and promoting trade to empower young entrepreneurs.

Tong Zhan, Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy, encouraged Gambian youth to seize the opportunities arising from China Gambia cooperation, translate support into tangible development outcomes, and embrace innovation and technology. He also called on young entrepreneurs to leverage bilateral and multilateral opportunities to advance their businesses and contribute to the enduring friendship between the two countries.
